LMS access

All AmeriCorps members and primary site staff for the 2021-22 program year should receive access to the online WSC training portal, Talent LMS, within a few days of the member’s start date (many site staff should already have access). If you have not received a welcome email from our Training Specialist or the email from Talent LMS containing your login credentials by that time, please reach out to Bryce Bateman.

Required member onboarding and management trainings will be assigned as members begin service, with other trainings to come throughout the year.

Keep an eye on your inbox to ensure you don’t miss out on any important training updates!

What's a monthly bulletin?

For those of you who are new to the program, we’d like to take a moment to introduce our monthly bulletin!

This bulletin is our main source for sharing programmatic updates. Here you will find information relevant for both site staff and AmeriCorps members so please take a moment to read these emails when they’re sent out.

As always, your WSC Coordinators are available to clarify any questions that you may have regarding anything shared in the bulletin.

Welcome to service

WSC & WRC members and site staff, we're genuinely excited to welcome you to a new service term and what we hope will be a life-changing experience for you and those you serve! We have no doubt that you'll make an indelible impact on our natural lands and in the lives of those who need our help.

Our team is here to support you over the course of the year, celebrating your milestones and helping you through challenges. You can learn more about us on our team page.

Please connect with us! Please also review the Member Service Agreement and any trainings provided to ensure you are informed and prepared.

9/11 2

In observance of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, thousands of Americans of all ages and backgrounds will participate in service projects on September 11. Service projects will range from food drives and home repairs to neighborhood cleanups and disaster preparation activities.

New Service Corps logo

You may have already noticed, but Washington Service Corps’ logo has a new look!

Please ensure that your members use their new gear when serving at community events this next year and update any AmeriCorps materials you’ve created locally.

Upcoming member trainings

The annual WSC Live Member Training event will be held on the afternoons of October 19-21, 2021! Given the positive feedback from last year’s training event going virtual, we will once again be asking members to attend remotely via Zoom for these training and networking sessions.

This event is mandatory for all 2021-2022 program year members to attend, so please plan on blocking off time on service schedules from approximately 1-5pm on October 19, 20, and 21. Links for members to register for the event will be sent out in mid-late September.

If you have any questions about this training event please contact our Training Specialist
Bryce Bateman.

We look forward to another year of great training content and connections between members and WSC Staff!
