Customer service survey

We want to hear from you!

Members and site staff- WSC has created a Customer Service Survey for you to provide feedback to our staff on how we are doing, and what we could do to improve your experience.

Please complete the survey by June 18.

Life After AmeriCorps training

On June 1, WSC hosted a live virtual Life After AmeriCorps training. This training focused on skill building of creating and customizing resumes, interview skills, and utilizing WorkSource resources to support professional development and post-service job search. If you were unable to attend this session, a recording will be assigned through Talent LMS within the next week.

Members will receive an email notification when this training is released, as well as a second training on using the Education Award.

If you don't see these emails soon, please contact Bryce Bateman.

Due June 15

Third quarter reporting and stories of service are due by June 15!

New Logo

Have you noticed the new "face" on the scene recently? Several months ago, the Corporation for National & Community Service decided it was time to give AmeriCorps a "facelift" - recharging its brand for the beginning of a new decade with an updated logo and color scheme.

Starting with the 2021-22 program year, all AmeriCorps programs and service sites need to be sporting the new look. You can start now, as we have, by updating email signatures, webpages, forms and recruitment materials -- we've posted the new logo files and branding guidelines on our website for you.

Pride month

Pride Month

June is Pride Month: a time to celebrate diversity and inclusion in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ communities.

WSC is committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and excellence in service to all communities where members can bring their full and authentic selves to service. We celebrate LGBTQ+ history and futures this month. The Washington State LGBTQ+ Commission has put together resources for LGBTQ+ people across the state, check it out here.

Prepping for end of term

Members, if you're ending service soon, it’s time to start planning ahead to ensure the exit process is a smooth transition. Now is a good time to start calculating service hours to ensure you’re on track to successfully complete your project. On your last day of service, please verify that your hours are accurate and approved on your timesheet.

We also strongly encourage creating a sustainability binder for future members and supervisors of your organization site to get a strong start to the next program year.

If you have questions about the binder, please reach out to your WSC Coordinator.

June job fairs

WSC is hosting virtual job fairs this year in partnership with Serve Washington and the Employment Security Department. These are intended to support members in their transition to post-service employment as part of the WSC Life After AmeriCorps content. The last job fair for members looking for post-service employment in Western WA will be held on June 10, 1pm – 4pm.

To attend, please register here.
Contact Bryce Bateman if you have any questions.
