WSC member training conference
Service Corps members, please register for our virtual training event no later than October 19. We are inspired by the speakers and trainers we're bringing together, and hope you will be too!
Sessions will be live from 2:00-5:00pm each day during the week of October 26-30, and participation is mandatory.
If you anticipate scheduling conflicts or have questions, please contact our Training Specialist Bryce Bateman.
**Reading Corps members should not attend this event - all WRC required trainings will be assigned through TalentLMS and Moodle systems, with periodic live check-in sessions.**

AmeriCorps Swearing-In
October 30
Join us and your fellow AmeriCorps community! Hosted by Serve Washington, the swearing-in is a very special event, kicking off the service year for hundreds of members in several AmeriCorps programs across the state!
This year, the event will be hosted on Zoom. In addition to esteemed speakers and the time-honored AmeriCorps Pledge, there will also be workshops available after the main event for those who register.
SPACE IS LIMITED! To attend, you must RSVP by October 23.
IMPORTANT! The amount of grant funding we can request to help operate our program is now tied to approved service hours submitted in our timesheet system.
Hence, it is critical that that timesheets are submitted AND approved every 2 weeks!
Please help us with the following:
* Watch our video on how to get set up in TimeTracker, and follow the instructions. Go to our website, and click on the appropriate Resources page for your role (member or staff).
* Mark your calendar: timesheets must be submitted by members AND approved by sites within 5 days from the end of the pay period (15th and 31st).
20-21 performance measurement
Site staff and members, we've posted updated project performance measurement instructions for you. Please prepare yourselves before your report is due in December - and contact your Coordinator right away if you have any questions.
Safety first!
From physical outdoor activities to sitting at a desk collating project data, sprains and strains can happen easily.
Please review these quick tips from Labor & Industries on how to avoid these kinds of injuries.
