Dear Colleague,
Celebrating Success and Increasing Access and Opportunity is our mission. This year, we have so much to celebrate: 30 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act, VR100 marks the 100th anniversary of Vocational Rehabilitation, 75 years of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and 28 years of the Governor’s Employer Awards Program.
As we pay tribute to these historical occasions, it is essential to honor Washington State’s workers with disabilities and to celebrate employers and leaders in the disability community for making workplaces inclusive and accommodating.
During these challenging times, many employers across the state have championed to maintain meaningful and integrated employment opportunities.
We need your assistance to identify these innovative leaders. Submit a nomination to recognize employers and honor individuals who are making a difference. Utilize your personal experiences and collaborate with human resources, managers and line staff to develop a comprehensive and persuasive nomination. Sharing their stories allows us to celebrate their contributions to increase access and opportunity for an integrated workforce.
Time is running out. August 31, 2020 is the deadline for nominations.
This nomination packet describes the five award categories and the nomination process.
