Information sharing: Free online toolkit for supporting individuals with autism during the COVID-19 epidemic

Hi to my friends & colleagues who serve individuals with autism and their families-

I’m thinking of all of you during this very tricky time.

Our UNC team at the School of Education and Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute developed a free online toolkit designed to help families and caregivers supporting individuals with autism during the COVID-19 epidemic. This guide is full of user-friendly strategies, ready-made resources and examples, and links to additional supports to help families navigate this challenging time. Individuals with autism and their caregivers are especially vulnerable to the current stressors and this guide provides a toolkit of strategies that can provide some relief in these uncertain times.

Please share this link with your networks and on your professional personal social media accounts:https://afirm.fpg.unc.edu/supporting-individuals-autism-through-uncertain-times

Resources are available online and in PDF and Word versions so families can edit/print as needed.

We want our practitioners, families, and children/youth with autism to know that there are resources and supports here for them.

Thank you!

Kara Hume and the FPG autism team
