Summer Camp for youth 16-24 years old with Intellectual Developmental Disability or Mental Health Diagnosis
The Center for Independence (in collaboration with Disability Empowerment Center and Central Washington Disability) is hosting their annual Youth Transition Summer Workshop. The YTSW is a free overnight workshop where youth will develop self-advocacy and leadership skills, plan their career goals, build a network of friends and supports and have a college experience on campus.
Founded in 1981, the Center for Independence is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit organization serving as a resource for individuals with disabilities to fully access and participate in the community through outreach, advocacy and independent living skills development.

When: July 7-12
Where:
- University of Washington Seattle Campus - 1410 NE Campus Parkway, Seattle, WA 98105.
- Room and meals are provided at the University of Washington, transportation can be coordinated upon request.
Who: To be eligible, you must:
- Live in one of the following counties: Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan, Island, King, Pierce, Thurston, Kittitas, Douglas, Chelan, Yakima, and Grant.
- Be 16-24 years old.
- Have a disability (including mental health conditions) and an educational, work, or other independent living goal.
