Washington State Behavioral Health Advisory Council: Recruiting New Members with Lived Experience
The BHAC is recruiting new members with lived experience. The Washington State Behavioral Health Advisory Council advises and educates the Washington Health Care Authority’s Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery on planning and implementing effective, integrated behavioral health services by promoting individual choice, prevention and recovery in Washington state.
The BHAC is actively recruiting new members with lived system experience with mental health and substance use disorders and seeking new members from our tribal, young adult and LGBTQ+ communities.
Eligible members with lived experience can qualify for a stipend to support their ability to participate fully in the work of the council. Members can earn $45.00 an hour, up to $200.00 a day, participating in the council. Travel expenses including meals, gas and lodging are also covered for members at the current per diem rates.
