New voice signature option
DSHS' Developmental Disabilities Administration is providing more flexibility for all clients by adding a new signature option for individuals being evaluated for eligibility for Medicaid benefits. The Long-Term Care Call Center implemented Voice Signature in July 2023.
Clients can choose to use a voice signature option to sign their Person-Centered Supports Plan or their Care Plan. With this expansion, the voice signature option will also be available to individuals applying for medical benefits and to clients completing the eligibility review process.
How it works
Once the phone interview is completed, the public benefits specialist staff will work with the client to understand how they would like to sign their application or eligibility review. If the client chooses the voice signature option, the client will listen to a script and then agree or decline verbally, or by pressing a number on their phone. The public benefits specialist will then finish the call. The script is available in sixteen languages and is compatible with interpreter service partners.
For more information please contact the DDA Long-Term Care Call Center at 1-855-873-0642. A Public Benefit Specialist can assist you with your application or eligibility review over the phone.
