Community residential COVID-19 DDA reporting requirements update
This message provides updates for DSHS’ community residential providers regarding DDA COVID-19 reporting requirements.
What's changed or clarified:
- Effective immediately, community residential providers no longer need to submit an incident report to DDA for COVID-19 positive clients. Continue to report clients that are COVID positive that are admitted to the hospital and COVID positive related deaths. This is consistent with policy 6.12 reporting requirements.
- Please note: DSHS' Residential Care Services COVID-19 reporting requirements have not changed for community residential providers who are certified or licensed by RCS (e.g., supported living, group homes, group training homes). This includes reporting to the Complaint Resolution Unit.
For additional information please see the LTC COVID Response Plan.
Thank you to all community residential staff for your continued commitment to support people with developmental disabilities through this pandemic.
