New Culturally Affirming & Responsive Mental Health (CARE) project from University of Washington's CoLab
University of Washington's CoLab is looking to connect with anyone living in Washington state, including individuals, youth, organizations, providers and communities, who might be interested in receiving updates and/or providing feedback on a new project as it develops over the next year. The goal is to make sure this project is informed by community and individual-lived expertise and that anyone who wants to share their experience can have a voice in project development.
The initiative, entitled CARE for Kids & Families, is a new statewide effort to promote culturally responsive behavioral health care while centering youth, caregivers and community members with lived experience/expertise in the behavioral health system. Depending on your time capacity and level of interest, there are many ways for you to get involved. In particular, people with lived experience, work experience or other forms of expertise in behavioral health care, racial equity and/or promoting health equity are encouraged to apply.
Sign up here to receive updates and visit the CoLab website to learn more about the project and how you can participate.
