The Washington State Legislature passed Second Substitute House Bill 2008 during its 2022 session.

2SHB 2008 directs the Department of Social and Health Services’ Developmental Disabilities Administration to discontinue the use of IQ criteria, for purposes of DDA enrollment, by July 1, 2025.
