Developmental Disabilities Administration
October 14, 2021
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and 2021 marks 76 years of the United States recognizing workers with disabilities.
It’s a time to celebrate the importance of a diverse workforce and the value individuals with disabilities bring to the workplace. This year’s theme is "America's Recovery: Powered by Inclusion."
Washington state continues to be a national leader in supporting individuals with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD) to pursue competitive employment opportunities. Please see this attachment that includes exciting events and celebrations going on across the state throughout the month of October.
