COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Licensed Children’s Community Residential Providers

On August 9, 2021, Gov. Jay Inslee issued a proclamation that requires most long-term care workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. DSHS has determined this includes long-term care direct support professionals employed by contracted and licensed children's Out-of-Home service providers.  All staff working under these contracts are required to be fully vaccinated by the deadline set forth in the Proclamation. This includes staffed residential homes and group care facilities for medically fragile children. At this time, this mandate is a DDA contract requirement and not a DCYF/LD licensing requirement.

The deadline for being fully vaccinated is October 18, 2021. Fully vaccinated means two weeks after your last vaccination.  A person must have had their last vaccination by October 4, 2021, to be considered fully vaccinated by the October 18 deadline.

The DOH Vaccine Locator can help you make an appointment or find a walk-in site to receive the vaccine.
