Happy Nurses Week!

National Nurses Week is a time for everyone – individuals, employers, other health care professionals, community leaders, and nurses – to recognize the vast contributions and positive impact of America’s four million registered nurses. Each year, the celebration ends on May 12, Florence Nightingale's birthday, the founder of modern nursing.

Though a week is far too short to pay homage to the incredible work they do every day, DDA is excited to celebrate National Nurses Week this May 6 to 12.

As you know, this past year brought extraordinary challenges to our essential workers, including nursing staff.  So many of our incredible nurses stepped up to become heroes during this time.  Our nurses’ commitment across service settings this past year has been impressive. Entrusted to care for clients and families and to support providers during some of the most trying times of their lives, our nurses were innovative, influential, and inspired us through their tireless support and service. Our gratitude and appreciation for their work is greater than ever.

Thank you to all nurses – we appreciate you!

We should all consider it an honor and privilege to work with the exceptional nursing teams at our facilities and in our communities who give their very best to support our clients and families every day.

Please join me to celebrate National Nurses Week, and take this opportunity to say, “Thank you,” to those who provide outstanding care every day.

Sincerely,

Debbie Roberts
