Developmental Disabilities Administration - Community Announcement

March 5, 2021

Dear Community Member,

The Washington State Department of Health and Governor Jay Inslee are advancing the next phases of vaccine eligibility in the coming weeks. As of this week, educators and childcare workers are eligible for the vaccine. By March 22, 2021, eligibility should extend to individuals with disabilities that put them at high risk for COVID-19. Read the complete guidance regarding who will become eligible here.

The Washington State Department of Health partnered with Microsoft to improve the timeliness of vaccine availability data on the Vaccine Locator Map and Provider List. They will incorporate vaccine appointment information from https://www.covidwa.com/ which automatically queries vaccine provider sites and indexes available vaccine appointments. This should help make scheduling your appointment easier.
