Updated: Reporting Requirements for Employment and Day Program Providers

1. Effective immediately Employment and Day providers of Adult Services (Individual Employment, Group Supported Employment or Community Inclusion) are only required to report confirmed COVID-19 cases to the Department of Social and Health Services’ Developmental Disabilities Administration. Presumed or pending cases no longer need to be reported to DDA.

Reporting to DDA via an Incident Report:

  • Confirmed cases: Clients or staff testing positive for COVID-19 (confirmed)
  • How many other clients and staff were potentially exposed?
  • Have quarantine efforts been implemented?
  • Has the provider confirmed with infected staff that all other employers have been notified?

2. Child Development Service providers are no longer required to formally track and report coronavirus cases (presumed or confirmed) to DDA. Please continue to follow Washington state Department of Health and local-health jurisdiction’s guidance for managing and reporting COVID-19 occurrences.
