Developmental Disabilities Administration Training Announcement

Dear Stakeholder,

Thank you for your continued commitment to individuals with developmental disabilities during this difficult and unprecedented time. We want to continue our partnership as the situation evolves. We recognize the need to begin re-opening long-term care facilities and other residential care settings to visitors. DDA will implement visitation guidelines in line with the Governor’s direction.

On August 6, Governor Inslee announced the Safe Start for Long-Term Care plan. The plan establishes criteria for long-term care facilities to safely conduct visitation. A summary is available here.

The plan also prescribes policy related to trips outside the facility, communal dining and group activities, testing and screening, source control and PPE, and staffing.

FAQs, documents, and general information is available online.

Again thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Evelyn Perez, Assistant Secretary
