Developmental Disabilities Administration Update

Dear Companion Home providers,

Significant changes to the Companion Home Washington Administrative Code (WAC) went into effect on December 7, 2018. Companion Home providers will be evaluated to ensure they meet the current WAC standards. Training will be offered statewide for Companion Home Providers, Case Managers, and Resource Managers. Three continuing education credits will be offered for Companion Home providers who attend.

Training will occur in the following locations:

  • Region 1: Spokane, Kennewick, Yakima
  • Region 2: Seattle
  • Region 3: Vancouver, Tumwater (Tacoma and Port Angeles currently being scheduled)


  • February 22, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Tumwater (Tumwater Point Plaza East, Building 2, 3rd Floor Training Room, 6860 Capitol Blvd. SE)

  • March 1, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Seattle (1700 E. Cherry Street)

  • March 8, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Vancouver (907 Harney St., Suite 200, Lewis Conference Room)

  • March 19, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Kennewick (500 N. Morain St., Suite 2210, Conference Rooms A & B)

  • March 20, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Yakima (15 W. Yakima Ave, L & I Building)

  • April 4, 2019, 9 a.m. to noon, Spokane (1611 W. Indiana Ave, Riverfront Training Room)

More training dates and locations will be sent when scheduled.
