Rulemaking notices filed in the Washington State Register 

The following rulemaking notices have been filed with the Office of the Code Reviser and will appear in the Washington State Register.  

Preproposal statement of inquiry (CR-101)

WSR 19-02-053 on WAC 388-101D-0025 and 388-101D-0120

The Department is planning to amend these rules in order to implement a tiered rate methodology as directed by the Washington State Legislature and as approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

WSR 19-03-011 on sections from Chapter 388-845 WAC

The Department is planning to amend sections in this chapter to replace the service name "community access" with the service's new name, "community inclusion." The Department is also planning to add new sections to chapter 388-845 WAC about when DDA may reject a client's choice of provider and the actions DDA may take when a client's choice of provider is rejected. 

 

Rule adoption order (CR-103P)

WSR 19-02-020 on sections from Chapter 388-828 WAC

These amendments align DDA's Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) with the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities' latest version of the SIS-A (adult version).

Effective Date: February 1, 2019

 

Emergency rulemaking order (CR-103E)

WSR 19-02-073 on WAC 388-101D-0025 and 388-101D-0120

The Department is amending WAC 388-101D-0025 and repealing WAC 388-101D-0120 to remove requirements for hourly staffing schedules. Enacting these changes on an emergency basis is necessary to implement a tiered rate methodology as directed by the Washington State Legislature and as approved by CMS.  

Effective Date: January 1, 2019
