Dear DDA
stakeholders,
We are happy to
announce that Don Clintsman has been chosen as the new DSHS Chief of Staff effective
May 16. Don has been the Deputy
Assistant Secretary for the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) for 18 years, overseeing field operations and facility services.
While we are sad to
see Don leave DDA, we know that his commitment to the clients we serve and dedication
will be great assets at the DSHS Secretary’s Office.
Debbie Roberts will be filling in as interim DDA
Deputy Assistant Secretary while I perform a nationwide recruitment to fill the
position permanently. Debbie has been
the Office Chief for Medicaid and Eligibility since 2015. Debbie has many years of experience working
with people with developmental disabilities. We are confident that she will do
an excellent job supporting the mission of DDA and helping us move forward as
we continue our important work.
Please know that we
will be working hard to make sure the transition is smooth and there is no
disruption to clients or programs.
