Individual Provider Overtime Rules

Most individual providers have a work week limit of 40 hours per week (Sunday through Saturday). Some individual providers have had difficulty working within their work week limit due to:

• Work weeks that cross over different months
• Claiming hours based on the client’s authorization which is a monthly authorization

The following four short videos were developed to help individual providers and clients understand overtime rules, what a work week limit is, when a work week starts and ends, and how to avoid exceeding the individual provider’s work week limit.
