Dear Residential Provider,

This message is to inform you about the funds associated with the 40-hour Core-Basic training, per RCW 74.39A. These funds are currently in the admin/non-staff cost center. The funds were added to the rate on January 2016. This was a temporary measure. The intent of the funds is to cover training-associated costs, including the staff time to complete the training. 

Per the agreement, the funds were scheduled to be moved to the instruction and support (ISS) cost center starting January 01, 2018. DDA is delaying this move until July 1, 2018. DDA leadership will be working with the residential provider representatives to revise the cost report prior to the move date to account for these funds.

Please continue to ensure that your agency has proper accounting to track these funds. The funds are separated on the exhibit-C of your contract.
