Northbound I-405 closure from Renton to Bellevue for traffic switch, Sept. 18-21
Overnight northbound I-405 lane closures from Kirkland to Bothell, Sept. 19-20
RENTON – Travelers should plan for a weekend closure of northbound Interstate 405 from Renton to Bellevue from Friday, Sept. 18, to Monday, Sept. 21. Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will work on drainage, repaving and a traffic switch as part of the I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project. Crews will also conduct overnight lane closures on northbound I-405 from Kirkland to Bothell, Sept. 19-20, for a traffic shift as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project.
Northbound I-405 closure from Renton to Bellevue, Sept. 18-21
Northbound I-405 will close between North Southport Drive to Coal Creek Parkway Southeast from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, to 4 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21.
The following ramps will also close:
- North Southport Drive on-ramp to northbound I-405
- North 30th Street on-/off-ramps (Exit 6)
- Northeast 44th Street on-/off-ramps (Exit 7)
- 112th Avenue Southeast on-/off-ramps (Exit 9)
- Northbound I-405 off-ramp to Coal Creek Parkway Southeast (Exit 10)
A northbound detour will be in place. Travelers are advised of northbound lane reductions on Coal Creek Parkway Southeast as part of the Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project that will cause delays along the detour route.
Overnight northbound I-405 lane closures from Kirkland to Bothell, Sept. 19-20
Northbound I-405 will have lane closures and rolling slowdowns overnight from Kirkland to Bothell. Crews will close up to three lanes from Northeast 128th Street to State Route 522 from 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, to 7 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20. Crews will implement a rolling slowdown between 12:01 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 20.
Travelers are also advised of regional closures on I-90 and SR 520. “Know before you go," and, if possible, delay discretionary travel to help minimize backups.
