BELLEVUE – Eastbound Interstate 90 will reduce to one lane from Friday night to Sunday afternoon, Sept. 18-20, near the I-405 interchange in Bellevue for paving and repairs to the freeway bridge crossing over Richards Road.

Nightly eastbound I-90 lane and ramp closures in the same area begin Monday night, Sept. 14, through Friday morning, Sept. 18, for lane striping within the work zone.

Weekend closures Sept. 18-20

The following closures will be in place from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20:

  • Three left lanes of eastbound I-90 near the I-405 interchange.
  • Eastbound I-90 HOV off-ramp to Bellevue Way Southeast.

Lane reductions will begin on Mercer Island and build to three left lane closures at Richards Road. At least one lane of eastbound I-90 will remain open throughout the weekend.

People traveling in the area should expect congestion and delays on eastbound I-90 and nearby local streets. This work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled due to rain.
