Eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard closing for a week starting Saturday, Sept. 12

SEATTLE – The media is invited to learn about an upcoming closure that will affect drivers who use the eastbound State Route 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard around the clock for a week beginning Saturday, Sept. 12.

Media will learn about the number of drivers who use this ramp, why it will be closed, what will happen during the closure and what drivers can do to prepare for this major closure.

When: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9

Where: Media can park near 2023 East Roanoke Street in Seattle. WSDOT staff will direct media members to the Montlake Boulevard overlook of SR 520 about 500 feet away.

Visuals: Media will be positioned on Montlake Boulevard over SR 520 with a view of the work zone and vehicles using the eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to Montlake Boulevard.

Directions: From northbound or southbound I-5, take eastbound SR 520 to the Montlake Boulevard/University of Washington exit. Use the right lane of the exit to turn right onto southbound Montlake Boulevard. From Montlake Boulevard, turn right onto East Roanoke Street and park near 2023 East Roanoke Street.
