Culvert repair on SR 165 in Burnett begins Monday, June 22
Daytime road work will reduce lanes, alternate one-way traffic through July
BUCKLEY – On Monday, June 22, construction crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin work to repair a culvert that runs under State Route 165 in Burnett.
Travelers can expect intermittent daytime lane reductions and one-way alternating traffic, Monday through Friday, through the month of July. Steel plates will cover sections of the roadway during construction.
Whenever near work zones please:
- Slow down – drive the posted speeds, they're there for everyone’s safety.
- Be kind – Workers are out there helping to keep everyone safe and improve the roadways.
- Pay attention – both to workers directing traffic and to fellow travelers.
This work is related to a culvert failure that occurred earlier this year, causing water to cover the highway and adjacent properties.
