TRAVEL ADVISORY April 13, 2026
Traffic Avenue ramp to westbound SR 410 in Sumner to close for road repairs April 20-22
SUMNER – From 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, through Wednesday, April 22, the Traffic Avenue on-ramp to westbound State Route 410 will close. The shoulder of westbound SR 410 near Traffic Avenue will also close.
The closures create a work zone for Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews to repave deteriorating asphalt.
During the closures, travelers are advised to use the Valley Avenue ramp.
This emergent work was originally scheduled to occur April 7, through April 9.
The work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled again if it rains.
Whenever near work zones please:
- Slow down – drive the posted speeds for worker and traveler safety.
- Be kind – workers are out there helping to keep people safe and improve the roadways.
- Pay attention – both to workers directing travelers and surrounding traffic.
- Stay calm – expect delays, leave early or take alternate routes if possible; no meeting or appointment is worth risking someone’s life.
