Eastbound SR 18 to close overnight March 31 near Snoqualmie to install overhead signs

Work is in preparation for three planned extended weekend closures

SNOQUALMIE – Eastbound State Route 18 will close from 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, between Issaquah-Hobart Road and Interstate 90 as part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will use the overnight closure to install new overhead message boards and prepare the roadway for future weekend-long closures for paving and striping.

Passenger vehicles should seek alternate routes. Issaquah-Hobart Road and Issaquah city streets are not suitable for freight. Truck traffic should detour using SR 169, I-405, and/or I-90. Drivers should expect added travel time in the area.
