In this update:
We want to alert neighbors near Roanoke Park in Seattle to nighttime work continuing tonight, Dec. 12, through Tuesday night, Dec. 16.
Crews will work on East Roanoke Street between Harvard Avenue East and 10th Avenue East from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., nightly. Note: We’re sharing this information broadly for awareness, but this work is primarily focused in Seattle’s north Capitol Hill.
What we’re doing and when:

8 p.m. tonight, Dec. 12, through 6 a.m., Monday, Dec. 15: Crews will continue installation of underground conduit for future King County Metro trolley wire relocations.

8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, through 6 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16: Crews will pave both the eastbound right lane on East Roanoke Street and the southern sidewalk which has been closed since Nov. 17. This closure is weather permitting – if it rains, the lane will not close (the sidewalk will remain closed), and crews will return when the weather allows for paving.

8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, through 6 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17: Crews will finalize installation of the underground conduit on this stretch of East Roanoke Street.
 What you will hear:
- Noise from small excavators, paving equipment, a vacuum truck, street sweeper, generator and dump trucks.
- Hotel accommodations are available for neighbors living within a 300-foot radius of this work. Please call our 24-hour construction hotline for more details.

It’s very helpful if you have comments or concerns about noise to call our project hotline at 206-319-4520 as you hear the noise. We have independent noise monitors onsite who can help mitigate noise or issues with equipment out in the field.
You may also email us at sr520bridge@wsdot.wa.gov but calling the hotline will get you more of an immediate response.
This work is being operated under a Temporary Noise Variance provided by the city of Seattle.
