What’s happening on Montlake Boulevard?

You may have noticed crews working on the west side of Montlake Boulevard near SR 520 this week. These are Skanska crews preparing to pave a temporary access haul road on the Portage Bay Project.

Expect to see crews working in the area again from Wednesday, May 28, through Friday, May 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. During that time, a single right lane on southbound Montlake Boulevard will be closed to give crews space to work.

Crews are preparing to pave a temporary access road to bring equipment to work trestles for the Portage Bay Project.

Also worth noting: the flower beds in this area will be replanted towards the end of the project.

Lastly, remember that the Bill Dawson Trail is closed until 2030.

Bagley Viewpoint construction camera offline

The Bagley Viewpoint construction camera was vandalized last week and is currently offline. We’re ordering replacement parts, but the camera will likely stay offline for at least two weeks. We’ll share updates as we have them.

The other three Portage Bay Project cameras remain online and are always available at this link: bit.ly/PortageBayCameras.

Skanska is considering new times for future Portage Bay Project monthly construction meetings. Right now, meetings are held on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. 

Let us know if a different time works better by completing this short survey by Friday, June 6.

Note: The June 26 meeting will still be held at noon.
