SR 520 and Trail fully closed across Lake Washington this weekend Oct. 11-14; public meetings next week

Reminder: SR 520 and SR 520 Trail fully closed across Lake Washington this weekend, Oct. 11-14

Crews will fully close SR 520 and its associated ramps in both directions between I-5 in Seattle and 92nd Avenue Northeast in Clyde Hill on the eastside starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14. The SR 520 Trail will also be closed.

During the closure, crews will grade, landscape, pave, test lighting under the Montlake Lid and work on connecting the SR 520 Trail to existing sidewalks and trails in the area.

Two virtual public meetings next week

First Portage Bay Project online construction meeting on Oct. 15

Skanska, our contractor, will hold their first virtual monthly construction update meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Join the meeting and learn about ongoing and upcoming construction activities, including staging updates, vegetation removal, upcoming piledriving and anticipated local street traffic effects. Register below to attend.

A Q&A session will follow the presentation. To submit questions in advance, please email sr520bridge@wsdot.wa.gov.

Montlake Project October online construction meeting on Oct. 16

Join us for our next Montlake Project monthly meeting held virtually at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. You’ll learn about current and upcoming construction activities, including planned street and highway closures. Register below to attend and participate in a Q&A.

  • Ongoing: Portage Bay on-land drilling for soil sampling
