Northbound I-5 SeaTac rest closures resume Friday, Oct. 11, in Federal Way

FEDERAL WAY – The northbound Interstate 5 SeaTac rest area will close for the third straight weekend starting Friday, Oct. 11, but this closure will last until Monday, Oct. 21. This is the final planned closure of the SeaTac rest area.

People traveling on I-5 through Federal Way should expect the SeaTac rest area to close for 11 days starting at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, until 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21.

This closure is necessary to support overnight full closures of both directions of I-5 between State Route 18 in Federal Way and 54th Avenue East in Fife, which are part of the project to complete SR 167

Washington State Department of Transportation crews will also perform maintenance work during this closure.

People can find other rest areas on the WSDOT website.
