UPDATE: The three right lanes on southbound Interstate 5 at State Route 526 have now reopened.
Southbound I-5 lanes blocked at SR 526 in Everett Thursday morning, Aug. 8 for a collision
EVERETT – The three right lanes of southbound Interstate 5 are blocked at State Route 526 in Everett for a collision. Only the HOV lane is open for traffic. State Patrol, Everett Police, and the Incident Response Team are on the scene.
As of 5:45 a.m., the backup is about four miles and growing. There is no estimated time for reopening. Drivers should plan for added travel time and consider taking an alternate route.
