SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! And Saturday. And Friday, too. Oh, also Monday. Yep, it’s ALL HAPPENING, and A LOT OF IT is on THIS PAINT MAP! Plan ahead for busy travel across the state, especially in-and-out of Seattle and near Portland.

A week into summer, the magic, fun and business is here, concert, construction and sports games.

This weekend will look more like June-uary. Temperatures will remain below or at average through the weekend, but that won't stop us, right? Time to buckle your seat belts, check your tires and repack your vehicle's emergency kit, it's GO time.

Tire safety week

This week is National Tire safety. With this warm summer weather and extra adventures ahead, now is a great time to check your tires and complete the checklist suggested by NHTSA ⬇⬇⬇

Four tips for tire safety

  1. Check inflation pressure monthly
  2. Get alignment checked
  3.  Rotate your tires
  4. Inspect your tire tread

Construction, maintenance and special events

Road work ahead

We often have special events and roadwork taking place in the Northend, including construction projects, maintenance and repairs. We always try to minimize any effects to travel, but sometimes it is necessary to close a lane to do the work or create a safe work zone for our crews.

While we aren't doing a lot of roadwork this week, our crews will still be out monitoring and keeping the roads safe. If you spot them, slow down and give them space to work! A huge thanks to our crews for all their hard work through the holidays.

Want more information? Visit our real time travel center, where these projects and repairs can be found on our travel map, and download our app to receive alerts directly to your smartphone.
