In this update:

This weekend: Montlake Boulevard, East Roanoke Street, Lake Washington Boulevard and associated SR 520 ramps closed

We have a significant weekend closure affecting several roads in the Montlake neighborhood.

First, the rundown of what is closed:

  • Montlake Boulevard between East Hamlin Street and East Louisa Street.
  • East Roanoke Street between East Louisa Street and 24th Avenue East.
  • Lake Washington Boulevard between Montlake Boulevard and East Foster Island Road.
  • All SR 520 on- and off-ramps to and from Montlake Boulevard, including the westbound SR 520 off-ramp to Lake Washington Boulevard.

Closures begin at 10 p.m. tonight and continue until 5 a.m. Monday, April 29. Pedestrian and bicycle access will be maintained through a signed detour through the area.

During the closure, crews will pave several parts of the roadway, place topsoil, install curbs, conduct electrical work for traffic signals, complete drainage lines, and install permanent signage along Montlake Boulevard.
