Register below to attend and participate in a Q&A.

I-5 closures this weekend

Reminder! The I-5 express lanes and the southbound I-5 off-ramp to Mercer Street are closing this weekend beginning Friday, Sept. 23.

The southbound I-5 off-ramp to Mercer Street will close at 9 p.m. Friday, with the express lanes closing at their regular time of 11 p.m. The Mercer Street off-ramp will reopen at 4 a.m. Monday and the express lanes will reopen at their normal weekday schedule of 5 a.m.

Crews working on the SR 520/I-5 Express Lanes Connection Project will start building another concrete pier that will support a new reversible ramp connecting the express lanes to SR 520. Crews will also continue work on a retaining wall for the project’s off-ramp to westbound Mercer Street.

SR 520 daytime and nighttime closures next week

Westbound lanes closed overnight Sept. 28 and 29

Westbound SR 520 will be closed from 92nd Avenue Northeast on the Eastside to I-5 in Seattle from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the nights of Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Sept. 29. On those nights crews will realign traffic lanes, creating work zones to extend to the west the highway lid we're building over SR 520 in Montlake. The SR 520 bicycle and pedestrian trail will remain open.
