Vaccine Choice will be open for CVP providers from June 1 through July 3, 2026. During this time, you can request changes to the vaccine brands you order for routine childhood vaccines when multiple products are available.
All providers must submit a Vaccine Choice form to select RSV and/or COVID-19 vaccine order sets for the upcoming season.
For influenza vaccine, please rank products in order of preference. Ranking products helps us request vaccine that providers are most likely to use.
Important Reminders
-
Penbraya is only available to providers receiving Trumenba as their MenB vaccine
-
Penmenvy is only available to providers receiving Bexsero as their MenB vaccine
- If a vaccine does not appear on the Vaccine Choice Worksheet, only one brand is available and is included on all order sets
- RSV vaccine for pregnant adolescents is available by special request only
Completed forms should be submitted by email to WAChildhoodVaccines@doh.wa.gov.

Influenza
The 2025-2026 influenza vaccine administration period is almost to its end. Flu vaccine ordering will be turned off in the IIS on June 5.
All flu vaccine for the 2025-2026 flu season is set to expire between now and the end of June. Flu vaccines cannot be returned before their expiration date, even if there is no intention to use the vaccine. Additionally, opened multi-dose vials cannot be returned and need to be submitted as wasted doses and disposed of per clinic guidelines.
Returning flu vaccines follows the same process as returning regular childhood vaccines.
RSV
Administration of RSV monoclonal antibodies (nirsevimab or clesrovimab) ended April 30, 2026.
Remaining inventory of nirsevimab is viable until its expiration date. Product should continue to be safely stored refrigerated between 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C) and can be used when administration resumes next season - do not discard or attempt to return unexpired RSV products. Once RSV products expire, they can be returned using the like all other expired vaccine products. If your RSV product is not yet expired but will expire before the next respiratory season, continue to store and do not return until expired.
COVID
COVID vaccine is still available to order and will remain open as long as there are lots with ≥ 30 days until expiry available to ship. Providers should first check Vaccine Advertisements for available vaccine transfers in the community before placing an order.
Applications are now open for a vaccine inventory management quality improvement project designed to help clinics reduce waste, improve ordering practices, and maintain appropriate vaccine inventories. Participants will receive personalized coaching, practical tools, and support to strengthen inventory management processes.

You may notice a new Provider Support Specialist (PSS) supporting your clinic. The Childhood Vaccine Program has made updates to PSS regional assignments, and some providers will now be working with a different PSS.
To help ensure timely responses, please send all CVP-related questions and requests to WAChildhoodVaccines@doh.wa.gov.
We appreciate your flexibility during this transition and look forward to continuing to support you!
All temperature excursions must be reported immediately through your REDCap portal. Timely reporting of temperature excursions helps ensure vaccines remain safe and effective before being administered to patients.
Please do not wait until you submit your monthly temperature logs to report an excursion.
