ISA Renewals

The DOH provider enrollment team is working to renew the Information Sharing Agreements (ISAs) for organizations participating in the WAIIS. Please check your records to ensure your ISAs are up to date as these agreements expire every 3 years.  You may lose connectivity to the IIS if no response is received during our review and cleanup of IIS data.

If you are not up to date, click here to renew your agreement or contact pchoiisa@doh.wa.gov for any additional questions.

Are You Storing MMR Vaccine Correctly?

There are two brand options for MMR vaccine available through the Childhood Vaccine Program: M-M-R®II by Merck and PRIORIX by GSK. Each brand has its own storage requirements to consider.

PRIORIX should always be stored in the refrigerator. The accompanying diluent can be kept in the refrigerator or at room temperature. Do not place either component in the freezer. Reconstituted vaccine should be administered immediately but may be stored protected from light in the fridge for up to 8 hours.

With M-M-R®II, you have the option of storing in the refrigerator or freezer. The accompanying diluent should be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator and should never be frozen. Reconstituted vaccine should be administered immediately but may be stored protected from light in the fridge for up to 8 hours.

Vaccine Advisory Committee Child Care Representative Seat Recruitment

The Vaccine Advisory Committee (VAC) is seeking a member with child care or early learning experience to bring real-world insight into how immunization policies impact child care and early learning entities. This perspective is essential to advancing equitable vaccine strategies for young children. The Department of Health strongly encourages applicants with experience serving rural or underserved communities, especially those east of the Cascades or from regions not currently represented. These voices are critical to ensuring VAC recommendations reflect Washington’s full geographic and community diversity.

Important VAC information to review:

If you are interested in joining the VAC, please submit your resume and a statement of interest (500 words or fewer) to vaccineadvisorycommittee@doh.wa.gov by February 18, 2026.

Washington Vaccine Association Vaccine Transfer Coordinator Recruitment

The Washington Vaccine Association (WVA) is seeking a seasonal Vaccine Transfer Coordinator to support statewide movement of vaccines between healthcare clinics. Check out the listing for more information, including key responsibilities and required qualifications.

As of February 6, 2026, Washington state has 19 confirmed measles cases. As measles continues to surge nationally and in our state, DOH urges MMR vaccination and encourages providers to review the interim pediatric measles outbreak vaccination recommendations. Please remain alert for potential measles cases or measles-like symptoms, especially among people  who visited public exposure locations listed on the Washington State Measles Public Exposure Location Tracker or recently travelled.

If measles is suspected, immediately contact DOH’s Communicable Disease Epi Vaccine Preventable Disease team or call 206-418-5500 any time, 24/7, to request prompt diagnostic testing at Washington’s Public Health Lab.
