Ordering for clesrovimab will open January 2, 2026. Providers must choose an RSV product for infants 0-8 months of age: either clesrovimab (ENFLONSIA) or nirsevimab (Beyfortus). Adding a new brand takes time and careful planning. If you are considering transitioning to clesrovimab (ENFLONSIA) for patients under 8 months of age, make sure all planning steps are finished before you place an order. Switching brands mid-season can be difficult if planning is incomplete and is something providers prefer to avoid.
You are not required to order clesrovimab for patients under 8 months of age - you may continue to order nirsevimab for this age group. If you do choose to switch to this new RSV product, orders will not be approved until your facility is at a 2-week supply of nirsevimab.
Reminder: No matter which brand(s) you choose, you need a clear plan to use all nirsevimab or clesrovimab doses by the end of RSV season (March 31).
If you are interested in making a switch to this new RSV product (clesrovimab), please carefully review Considerations for RSV Antibody Brand Transition and the 2025-26 State Supplied RSV Antibody Products At-A-Glance documents.
All providers are asked to complete a short survey to indicate their planned RSV product selection for infants under 8 months of age. Your responses will help us finalize budgeting, distribution planning and dose projections. Please complete the survey as soon as possible.
With the holidays quickly approaching, please be mindful of shipping delays, limited or no shipping days, and plan your vaccine orders accordingly. December 9th is the last day you can submit a vaccine order to receive the delivery before January. Please note that there will be no vaccine deliveries made during the week of Christmas and New Year's. You can place an order off your typical schedule if needed. Please ensure your accountability reports are up to date prior to placing orders to ensure expedited processing. It's also a good idea to update your shipping hours in your provider agreement if needed. Check out the holiday shipping calendar on our website for more information.
Vaccine choice is occurring from Wednesday, December 3rd through Friday, December 19th. During this time, you can fill out the Vaccine Choice form to request a change in the brand of vaccine you receive for vaccines with more than one brand available.
You only need to submit a form if you are requesting a change. If you are keeping the same vaccines, no form is needed.
Submit your Vaccine Choice form to WAChildhoodVaccines@doh.wa.gov. If you have any questions, please contact Jacki Stockdale at jacki.stockdale@doh.wa.gov.
Vaccine Choice Highlights
- Due to the Men B component and the inability to interchange the Men B vaccine, Penbraya will be available only to those that receive Trumenba and Penmenvy will be available only to those that receive Bexsero as their Men B vaccine.
- If a vaccine is not on the Vaccine Choice form, it indicates that there is only one brand for that vaccine and it is automatically on all order sets
- Exceptions - MPox is only available through special request
Starting January 1, 2026, all temperature excursions must be reported immediately through your REDCap portal. Please do not wait until you submit your monthly temperature logs to report an excursion.
To report a temperature excursion:
-
Log in to your REDCap portal and select "Report temperature excursion and vaccine viability."
-
Gather any viability information you have from the manufacturer and your DDLs, along with a list of the affected vaccines.
-
Follow the prompts in the form and submit your report. We will reach out if we need any additional details.
-
Once your excursion report is submitted, you won't need to complete another viability survey when submitting your monthly temperature logs. However, when you submit your monthly temperature logs you will still need to note the temperature excursion in your REDCap survey.
-
At the beginning of your monthly survey under the storage unit affected select “Yes” for “Did a temperature excursion occur over this month for this unit?”
-
At the end of the monthly survey, you’ll see this question: “Have you completed a vaccine viability survey for this excursion?" If you’ve already reported the excursion, simply select "Yes" and continue with the rest of the form.
If you have any questions or need help with a temperature excursion, please email us at wachildhoodvaccines@doh.wa.gov and we will connect you with our Storage and Handling Coordinator.

Immunize.org posted QR Code Links to Spanish Translations of Vaccine Information Statements (VISs), that can be scanned with the camera of a smartphone or tablet for instant access to each Spanish language VIS and the Immunization Information Statement for infant RSV products. Travel and other nonroutine vaccines are included. A QR code for the main translations page at Immunize.org also simplifies access to all available VIS translations. This new tool is great for any facility that provides vaccination services to patients whose preferred language is Spanish.
These QR codes do not go out of date when VISs are updated. When Immunize.org posts an updated VIS, the QR code will automatically link to the new version.

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW) is December 1-5, 2025, an important reminder that it’s not too late to get vaccinated. Flu vaccination can help protect against serious flu-related complications, including hospitalization and death.
The Department of Health (DOH) publishes flu activity (PDF) reports every week from fall through spring. Although flu activity is low right now in Washington, flu rates are increasing in other parts of the US and will pick up speed during upcoming holiday gatherings. The last flu season was reported as the highest severity flu season in over 10 years in the US, with 280 pediatric deaths, one of the deadliest years since records began in 2004. Massive flu outbreaks in Canada and the U.K. are warning signs that this flu season will likely be severe with a new form of the virus called H3N2 subclade K.
Health care providers can make a strong flu vaccine recommendation for your patients and use the following resources to encourage vaccination:
 |
Tis the season for inclement weather! Please take a minute to review your facility's Vaccine Management Plan and emergency plans.
Remember - in an emergency, a transfer request does not need to be completed or require pre-approval for emergency transport. Emergency transport should be in accordance with your facility's Vaccine Management Plan.
If vaccines are exposed to out of range temperatures, contact the manufacturers to determine viability. If the guidance or determination is unclear, please contact us at WAChildhoodVaccines@doh.wa.gov before taking any additional action. If vaccines are determined to no longer be viable, please report the excursion in REDCap and submit a Vaccine Loss Log via email.
