Vendor Portal Enhancements- Locations Dropdown Menu
In 2025, the FMNP Grower Vendor Portal has received several key enhancements designed to improve user experience and streamline operations. The biggest one is the ability to now select from the entire list of farmers markets around Washington State that are approved for FMNP. Growers can now select which market from which they are taking transactions to track transactions at each market.
Once growers scan the QR code to begin a transaction, the screen below will appear. This gives growers the opportunity to select the location at which they are selling. The selected location remains the same until manually changed, so growers should verify it's correct for each transaction—especially the first of the day if selling at a different site.
Vendor Portal Enhancements- Adding W9 form
Growers can now upload their W9 form in the Vendor Portal directly. State staff will still need to approve the W9 once it is uploaded, but this is now a step the growers can now complete on their end. After logging into the portal, click on the farm name in blue to open the "Vendor details" page. Click the "Upload W9 Form" in blue and attach the scanned form.
Grower Trainings
We will host a few FMNP Grower trainings in May. This includes an evening training on May 22 beginning at 5:00pm to give growers who are unable to make the 1:00pm training time a chance to attend a live training. We will review the Farmers Market Nutrition Program itself, the transaction process, and new updates ahead of the upcoming FMNP season. All new growers must attend at least one of these trainings.
All returning growers are also encouraged to attend, especially staff who take transactions at the market. There will be time at the end of each training for questions and answers. The trainings will be via Microsoft Teams. The link to those training courses is contained below. For anyone who attended the April training, most of the content will be the same.

Senior FMNP Updates
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) market season runs from June 1st through October 31st. With June right around the corner, many local programs have opened their SFMNP application windows. Here is an updated list of local program contacts to help direct interested individuals: Local Contact List.docx.
As a reminder, Washington residents age 60 or older and Native Americans/Alaska Natives age 55 or older with a household income below 185% of the federal poverty level ($2,413/month, adding $848 for each household member) are eligible for SFMNP benefits. Interested individuals must apply through local agencies each market season before receiving SFMNP benefits. New benefit cards will be issued to SFMNP participants this year.
Happy spring!

WSFMA wants to know what you think of Farmers Markets!
As you may have seen, the WSFMA has launched a 2025 Vendor Survey to hear about YOUR experiences at farmers markets and, in particular, with food access programs like SNAP, SNAP Market Match, and, of course, the transition of WIC and Senior FMNP to an electronic benefit. The input of farmers like you is super important to making sure we learn from you, and we can work to create programs and policies are relevant and effective for everyone.
- All information is confidential. It should take about 10 minutes.
- The survey is available in English and Spanish.
-
The survey link is here.
-
Thanks so much to everyone who has already done the survey! ❤️
- We’re working with Arrowleaf Consulting and we hope to have initial results this summer and will be sure to share them with you.
