Dear Healthcare Provider, Local Health Jurisdiction and Tribal Health Partners,
This is a Provider Alert message from the Washington State Department of Health Office of Immunization and Office of Infectious Disease regarding the extension of expiration date for JYNNEOS.
Mpox vaccine providers should be made aware that the FDA has extended the expiration date of JYNNEOS vaccine from 10/31/24 to 08/31/26 for the following lots that have been stored at -25°C to -15°C (-13°F to 5°F):

Check your current inventory of JYNNEOS vaccine.

Include revised expiration date on cartons of JYNNEOS for lots FDP00017, FDP00018, FDP00019, FDP00020 and in the Washington Immunization Information System (WAIIS).

Continue to offer JYNNEOS to those who are eligible and encourage individuals who only received 1 dose to finish their 2 dose series.

JYNNEOS is currently available on the commercial market, but WA DOH is exploring ways in which we can improve JYNNEOS vaccine access.
