Washington State Department of Health's Power of Providers initiative (POP) invites you to participate in an upcoming webinar on effectively engaging communities disproportionately impacted by health inequities. Effectively Engaging Communities: Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy starts at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2024. Dr. Michele Andrasik will present.

PRESENTER

Dr. Andrasik is a clinical health psychologist who specializes in developing collaborative and reciprocal relationships between researchers, community members, and organizations to address health disparities. In this webinar, Dr. Andrasik will explore factors that fuel vaccine hesitancy and discuss effective strategies to address it, including patient-centered approaches and trusted messenger interventions.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand factors that increase vaccine hesitancy among populations in the U.S.
  2. Learn how to use patient-centered approaches to address vaccine hesitancy.
  3. Explore the implementation of trusted messenger interventions to address historical amnesia and increase faith in institutions.
