Talking to Long Term Care Residents about Vaccinations for Respiratory Illness

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) is hosting a webinar for long-term care clinicians on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. The webinar will cover topics around vaccines used to prevent respiratory illness in long-term care residents. John Dunn, Medical Director of Preventative Care at Kaiser Permanente, and Heidi Kelly, Public Health Nursing Consultant at DOH will present.

The webinar offers continuing education credit for nurses, which includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nurse assistants (CNAs).   • Discuss vaccines recommended to prevent respiratory illness.
  • Identify COVID-19 vaccine storage and handling and vaccine clinical resources.
