Hello POP Providers,
Start Now for Back-to-School Childhood Vaccines
As we approach the middle of summer break for many of Washington’s students, the time to start preparing for back-to-school vaccination campaigns is here. We hope the following resources will help with your fall childhood immunization efforts.
HHS's Catch Up to Get Ahead Toolkit, with talking points and social media resources, and We Can Do This campaign, which includes some great social media resources for both school-age kids and college and university students.
DOH’s Childhood Vaccine Campaign Toolkit includes flyers, sample newsletter articles, social media posts and images, talking points and other resources for providers.
You can provide vaccines for kidsat no cost through the Childhood Vaccine Program. Enroll soon to be prepared for the fall, as the enrollment process takes 4-6 weeks.
COVID-19 vaccine ordering will be turned off in the Washington Immunization Information System (WAIIS) at 4 PM PT on August 2. Be sure to order sufficient supply before this date to avoid running out of vaccines before the end of the transition to commercialization in early fall. Updated vaccination schedules for all ages are anticipated to be available in September and commercial ordering will likely open soon after. Please email covid.vaccine@doh.wa.gov with questions.
