On April 13, 2023, the Washington Vaccine Association’s (WVA) Board of Directors approved the 2023-24 Vaccine Assessment Grid, which was finalized by the WVA’s Operations Committee on April 25, 2023. The 2023-24 Vaccine Assessment Grid will be in effect between July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, and has been posted to the WVA’s website.
The 2023-24 Grid lists vaccines and their corresponding CPT codes that are part of the dosage-based assessment (DBA) process for providers, health insurance carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs). In effect, the Grid is the equivalent to a fee schedule. Providers are required to properly complete the DBA process as part of their participation in Washington’s Childhood Vaccine Program. Properly remitted and paid DBAs ensure that adequate funds are available to support the State’s continued purchase of pediatric vaccines in Washington.
