Warning: Your Clinic May Be Disenrolled!

Your clinic may be disenrolled from the Childhood Vaccine Program if you have not initiated your 2022 Provider Agreement renewal in the IIS. Provider agreement renewals were due to be complete by March 31, 2022 or April 30, 2022 depending on the county your clinic is located in. If you do not have an approved 2022 provider agreement, your clinic can no longer order publicly funded vaccines. Once your agreement is approved for the new year, your ordering privileges will be reinstated. Please use the resources below to renew your agreement:

Short Dated Vaccine Reminder

If your clinic has CVP vaccine that is within 90 days of expiring, follow these steps:

  • Run a Reminder/Recall Report to locate patients who are due or past due for the vaccine and contact them for an immunization appointment.
  • Any remaining vaccines should be transferred to another enrolled provider (Provider Map).
  • When you have identified a clinic who is willing to accept your remaining vaccine, submit a Vaccine Transfer Request in the Immunization Information System (IIS).
  • For the physical transport of vaccine, ensure you have a digital data logger thermometer and appropriate packing materials using the Vaccine Transport Guidelines.
  • If you are unable to locate an enrolled provider to transfer the vaccine to, contact us with the name of the product, number of doses, and expiration date for each vaccine at WAChildhoodVaccines@doh.wa.gov or phone at 360-236-2829.

NEW Campaign to Catch Up on Checkups

catch up on check ups

On Monday, May 9th DOH launched a campaign to encourage parents to schedule routine check-ups for their children (under age 17). Many people have put off well child and annual check ups during the pandemic and as a result kids are not up-to-date on immunizations. The campaign will run on TV, streaming devices, digital video networks, social media, digital audio, and as a print ad in ParentMap magazine.
