Renew Your Provider Agreement Now

If you have not yet renewed your Childhood Vaccine Program provider agreement in the IIS for 2022, please complete it now. The renewal period ends on April 30, 2022 so we hope to have every provider renewed by then. If your clinic has not renewed, you may be at risk for disenrollment from the program. 

Currently, 70% of providers enrolled in the program have an approved 2022 provider agreement.

We have many 2022 agreements in a "returned" status, which means those agreements need corrections in order for us to approve them. Please look at your provider agreement in the IIS and address any issues that may be listed in the comments section at the top of the agreement (as in the image below).

It's National Infant Immunization Week

  • National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) highlights the importance of protecting infants and young children from vaccine-preventable diseases. This year, a primary focus is to ensure families stay on track for their children’s well-child visits and routinely recommended vaccinations.
  • COVID-19 has caused many disruptions in families’ lives – and in some cases, it has meant that children have missed or delayed their wellness checkups and vaccination, which are a critical part of ensuring children stay healthy. CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that children stay on track with their well-child appointments and routine vaccinations. 

All staff in healthcare practices, including non-clinical staff, play important roles during NIIW. To highlight childhood immunizations this NIIW:

Addressing Vaccine Administration Errors Webinar

April 27, 2022  12-1pm PT

The Washington Department of Health is pleased to host a webinar on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 12-1pm. The webinar will feature Dr. Sarah Schillie with the CDC Immunization Services Division. Dr. Schillie will discuss preventing vaccine administration errors and how to address them if they occur. The webinar is designed for health care providers, including medical assistants, nurses, and pharmacists/pharmacy techs, and any others interested in learning more about this topic.

The webinar will be recorded and continuing education is available for nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, and pharmacy techs.
