COVID-19 Pediatric Vaccination with Dr. Sherri Zorn

Power of Provider Graphic

Hello POP Providers!

We hope this email finds you well.  In this edition, we are excited to share with you a webinar hosted by Dr. Sherri Zorn, a Seattle pediatrician.  The 10-minute session, “Administering COVID-19 Vaccines in the Office Setting:  The Power of Nurses and Medical Assistants,” is sponsored by the Washington chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (WCAAP) and was developed to support COVID-19 vaccination efforts for children.

Following the Power of Providers (POP) framework, Dr. Zorn guides providers through the SAVE steps:  Seek, Ask/Educate, Vaccinate, and Empower.  Included are helpful tips on office operations, vaccine supply management, preparing for patient visits, and how to discuss the COVID-19 vaccine with patients and parents.  Dr. Zorn also reviews the difference between vaccine hesitancy and vaccine resistance and how to manage conversations with people in either category.

We encourage all health care providers to watch this informative session and share it with others.  Successful COVID-19 vaccine conversations build trust and strengthen relationships with patient populations. This leads to more vaccinations and boosters, ultimately improving the health of our communities.

Watch the webinar on YouTube.

Thank you!
