Menactra Update

  • Menactra is phasing out and will be unavailable for ordering at any time after April 2022. An exact end date is not known at this time.
  • We will continue to offer Menactra until inventory is depleted from our distribution warehouse but providers should be preparing their staff and systems for this change.
  • Providers who are ordering Menactra now will default switch over to MenQuadfi once Menactra is no longer available.
  • If you wish to change between MenQuadfi and Menveo, that opportunity will be available during the next vaccine choice period in the spring.
  • MenQuadfi or Menveo can be used for adolescents who are routinely recommended to receive MenACWY vaccine at 11 or 12 years of age
  • Minimum age: 2 years for vaccinating anyone who is at higher risk for meningococcal disease
