COVID-19 Clinic Being Held at DOH Tumwater Campus March 18 & 19 for Eligible Groups

Are you in the Thurston County area and fall into one of these groups: 65 or older, healthcare worker (to include home care/home health/caregiver), or a community health worker?  If so, there is a COVID-19 vaccine clinic being held at the state Department of Health office in Tumwater on March 18 and 19th.  Pre-registration is required. Intended Audience/Participant for vaccinations:  

Booster doses from DOH clinic on 02/18/2021

Community health workers

>65 and older

Caregivers (workers in home care/home health)

 

Details for the clinics: 

Location: Department of Health, 111 Israel Rd SE, Olympia, WA 98501

We are located across the street from the Post Office in Tumwater, WA

 

After you enter the parking lot, staff will help direct you into the parking garage where the drive-through vaccination clinic will take place. If there is a long line of cars waiting on Israel Road, staff will direct you in the parking lot to wait until your turn to get vaccinated in the parking garage. A 15-30 minute observation period will be necessary after you get vaccinated.

 

During both mornings from 9:00 to 11:45, vaccinations will be provided by nurses and possibly other healthcare providers.  During the afternoon 12:00 to 5:00 pm, the vaccinations will be provided by a National Guard medical team.  All staff involved are skilled at vaccinations, but we offer the information for awareness and to allow for you to plan for the event.  We’re offering this as a drive through event both for the ease of those being vaccinated, but also to reduce the potential spread of COVID virus.
